AOFB needs helping hands and hearts! On the third Wednesday of each month, we meet at a scheduled location to minister to those in need with warm meals, clothing, haircuts, toiletries and a word of prayer and encouragement. Over time we expect to add additional dates to our service schedule.
Help is needed to set up our tents and equipment, serve meals, hand out items, pray with the individual and help facilitate phone calls to their loved ones. In the near future we will need help washing clothing when our laundry truck is ready to roll.
We also need help with logistics, making phone calls, and fundraising. As a “roll up your sleeves” type of ministry, we are looking for God’s servants who want to help the homeless in our community and spread the Good News. Church groups are invited to choose one or more dates to volunteer. Contact us with your questions and indicate the dates you’re available to help.
